I start class at Washington University’s Olin Business School during a weekend-long orientation on Friday. I’ll attend class part-time to earn my master of business administration degree. I should be done in about three years.

It’s something I’ve considered for a couple years. In journalism school at the University of Missouri, my professors and editors often talked about the importance of merging the journalism, business and computer science industries. Only then, they said, can we find a successful future for the journalism industry.

The journalism part is easy for me. But finance? Organizational behavior? Managerial economics? Yikes. I have a lot to learn.

Earning an MBA is the next step for me. Maybe the computer science part will come next.

My newest adventure will be an exciting and challenging one. Here goes nothing.
