
I’m the editor of Maplewood-Brentwood Patch, a local news website in the St. Louis suburbs. I’m responsible for all editorial coverage of these two communities, whether that’s government, business, education, sports or arts. I supplement my personal coverage by hiring freelance reporters and photographers in the community. I either write, assign, edit or post every article on the site. I successfully launched the first Patch website in the St. Louis area and established our journalistic presence in the community. As a multimedia intern for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch / STLToday.com, I was responsible for updating the website with pieces of topical multimedia content, like entertainment quizzes and news timelines. I also helped the veteran multimedia designers by gathering data and crunching numbers while they programmed cool graphics. Here are some of the projects I worked on:
